SOLO RECITAL BY MICHELLE HARIANTO ON AUGUST 20, 2023 (SINGAPORE)

17-year-old Michelle Harianto will give a solo recital at the Voices of Singapore (VOS) Capitol Studios on August 20th, 2023, at 6.30pm. The concert is by invitation only. Interested parties may leave a message on this website or contact Michelle via email at Michelle.harianto@gmail.com

Michelle Harianto was born in Singapore and grew up in Surabaya, Indonesia. She was first introduced to the piano at age five and took her first piano lessons. Michelle’s first performance took place at the age of six when she performed in Carnegie Hall, New York, for the International Music Talent Competition, where she received first place. The following year, she was invited to the same competition and again received first place. In 2014, Michelle performed an all-Debussy program for her first solo piano recital at the Sydney Opera House.

In 2016, Michelle participated in the Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition and emerged as the first-place winner, earning her a spot in the gala concert. In the same year, she participated in the 6th Singapore Performers' Festival & Chamber Music Competition, receiving four awards, including two platinum and two gold awards. Subsequently, she was chosen to perform amongst several other award winners in the gala concert. During her years in Indonesia, Michelle studied under Sienny Debora, FirstlyTheodore and Dr Johannes Nugroho.

In 2019, Michelle moved to Singapore, where she has been receiving lessons under Benjamin Loh. In 2020, she passed her LTCL Piano Performance Examination with Distinction. Since then, Michelle has continued winning prizes in the 2nd WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, the Chicago International Music Competition and Festival, and the 2022 Singapore Steinway Youth Piano Competition. Michelle is preparing to embark on her final year as a Grade 12 student at United World College.

BRADDELL HEIGHTS JUNIOR ORCHESTRA CONCERT (November 2, 2019)

Fourteen-year-old Vivian Li will be performing the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in B-flat, K. 595 with the Braddell Heights Junior Orchestra on Saturday, November 2nd at the Braddell Heights Community Centre, Singapore. The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Yan Yin Wing and will include works by Bizet, Sibelius and Rossini.

Tickets at $10 are available at the door on the day of the concert.
