BRADDELL HEIGHTS JUNIOR ORCHESTRA CONCERT

Casey Li will be the soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto in F, K. 459 (first movement) with the Braddell Heights Junior Orchestra conducted by Maestro Yan Yin Wing.

Nine-year-old Casey Li is a Primary 3 student at Raffles Girls’ Primary School. She first started her musical journey at the age of four at the Seimpi School of Music where she studied with Ralitsa Obretenova and Radostin Kirchev. Currently, she is a private student of Benjamin Loh. At the age of five, she won Second Prize at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, which gave her an opportunity to perform at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York. Last year, she performed the Divertimento For Piano and Strings in C Major by Haydn with the Emmanuel Symphony Orchestra. Her other achievements this year include the First Prize at the Piano Island Festival Competition (Singapore), Third Prize at the UCSI International Piano Festival & Competition (Malaysia) and two Platinum Awards at the 7th Singapore Performers’ Festival & Chamber Music Competition. She was also a Grand Finalist in the Symphony 92.4FM Young Talents Project. Besides the piano, Casey is an avid reader and loves to swim, play badminton and roller-skate.

As part of the Steinway Lecture Series organised by Steinway Gallery Singapore, Benjamin Loh will be giving two talks. The first one, "Effective Piano Teaching", will be held on August 20, 2017 (Sunday) from 3 to 5pm at the Recital Studio of the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.

The second lecture, "Effective Competition Preparation", will be held at Steinway Gallery Singapore's new showroom at ION Orchard (#04-15A) on September 24, 2017 (Sunday) from 3 to 5pm.
