Congratulations to 12-year-old Alyssa Kok for being offered a scholarship to study piano performance at the Leopold Mozart Institute, Mozarteum University, Salzburg, Austria.
Alyssa officially starts her new term on October 1st, 2014, and was the only pianist accepted during the Singapore auditions held earlier this year.
Benjamin Loh has been invited to be on the faculty of the Adam Gyorgy Island Academy, a week-long piano camp aimed at enhancing the skills of young pianists. The Academy will take place in Bali, Indonesia from December 14 to 20, 2014.

Alyssa Kok wins the Platinum Award at this Festival held in Singapore on June 20, 2014.
11-year-old, Alyssa Kok, won the Gold Award at the Festival Competition held at Baekseok University in Cheonan, South Korea on July 21, 2014.
11-year old Alyssa Kok and 15-year-old Nigel Lim both took the 1st runner-up awards in Categories 2 and 3, respectively.
The Competition was held for the second time at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall on May 17, 2014. Each participant had to play a 20-minute program that included the first movement from a Classical Sonata.
Alyssa played Haydn’s Sonata in C, Hob.XVI/50, Glinka’s Variations on “The Nightingale” by Alyabyev and Debussy’s Prelude “Les Collines d’Anacapri”.
Nigel performed Haydn’s B minor Sonata Hob.XVI/32, Brahms’s Scherzo in E-flat minor, Op. 4 and Debussy’s Prelude “Ondine”.
11-year-old Alyssa Kok was selected as a Second Degree winner in the Junior category (14 and below), and will be making her United States debut at the Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall on May 31st, 2014.
13-year-old Fong Kai De won an Honorable Mention award in the same category.
15-year-old Jonathan Chua won an Honorable Mention award in the Senior (15 to 18) category.
Congratulations to the following students in their success at the recent 5th All Japan Piano Concours held on February 11, 2014 at the Suginami Koukaidou Hall in Tokyo:
